Initial Designs

Design 1
The first design was made up of the church colours green, white and black. This was a possibility in order to link the website back to the original church website design. The design has been kept clean and simple as the client specified and is similar in style to websites he showed me, especially in terms of the shadow box and white colour theme. The main box will contain images and/or information that is most important and relevant. This will be updated regularly to keep the information up to date. I have also included links to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as they are popular youth sites. A music player is also placed at the bottom corner of the page which will play an appropriate playlist when entering the page to again appeal to the youth audience.

Design 2
Because I had a clear idea of what my client wanted, I made the rest of my designs fairly similar. However, I used a different colour theme for this design using blue instead of green to suit the youth audience. This colour was also suggested by my client. I have slightly changed the layout for this design so that the menu is placed at the top of the screen which I felt works better. I also added three smaller boxes in order to display more information on the home page. I prefer this layout the the previous one as there is more on the page while still looking organised and simple. If I chose to take this further as my final design, I will need to include a logo once it has been designed.

Design 3

Although I kept the same colour theme as the previous, I changed the main background colour to black to give my client more of a choice. Again I will need to add a finished logo. I didn't like this design as much as the others as I felt that the white background was more effective and also looks better with four boxes rather than one.

Design 4

I wanted to create a design with a different layout again to give my client more options. I designed this website with influence from a church website I'd seen online which had several boxes which rotated according to the page chosen. I thought that this would be harder for me to create but found the idea interesting and more interactive which would appeal to its audience.
